This module is designed for you assuming that you have at least an intermediate level of English. The aim is to improve your English for the purposes of applying for jobs that require some English, and to help you build up the business and skills vocabularies to be able to describe well the relevant skills and experiences that you have acquired. It would be very beneficial to you if you took this module together with modules on how to write a CV. The purpose of this module is to help you learn how to describe your work experience and the sorts of skills that you have acquired whilst doing your social science degree.

At the end of this module, learners will have
identified the importance of considering non-verbal elements to your overall communication strategies
the ability to evaluate different strategies of non-verbal communication by identifying different bodily techniques and considering their effectiveness;
practiced being prepared for interviews, networking, cold-calling etc. by considering how you will use nonverbal communication to support the content of what you say and the sorts of presentations and impressions you make.
In scope of this EMLT module, an e-book will be shared to learners.
For each unit of this EMLT module will be shared to learners an interactive e-lesson.
Questions concerning the content of the EMLT module should be directed to the discussion boards. This allows your question to be answered by whoever is monitoring the discussion boards, and the answer can benefit all board readers.
As a learner, discussion boards can give you information or insight to quickly solve problems you have run into (and ways to avoid problems in the future).
When you run into the problem or you need support in context of the EMLT module,
First check that module’s discussion board to see if someone else had same problem.
If not, post your comment or problem description there.
Use descriptive titles for your posts so that other learners know what the post is about. Titles such as “I have a problem” are not acceptable.

Evaluation of Student Performance & Certification
This EMLT module is designed to assess learners’ success via a final exam.
Exam is online and unsupervised.
It is expected that learners answer 10 multiple-choice questions in 20 minutes.
Each learner can take only one online exam in context of this EMLT module.
Minimum exam pass grade is 70 over 100.
Once you have successfully passed the EMLT module final exam, your digital certificate will be automatically emailed to you along with congratulations.
